Message text: Unit of measure does not have the dimension of a temperature
Before the Quantity Conversion Interface (QCI) calculates additional
quantities based on various parameters the QCI checks whether all
parameters are consistent. This is not the case. A temperature field
has a unit of measure assigned which does not have the dimension
"temperature" defined in the customizing settings for this unit.
The system stops processing.
Correct the input parameter unit of measure.

This can happen in various contexts, such as when entering data related to temperature-sensitive materials or processes.
Cause:
- Incorrect Unit of Measure: The unit of measure being used (e.g., Celsius, Fahrenheit, Kelvin) is not recognized by SAP as a temperature unit.
- Configuration Issues: The unit of measure may not be properly configured in the system, or it may not be assigned the correct dimension.
- Data Entry Error: Users may inadvertently select or enter a unit of measure that is not appropriate for temperature.
Solution:
Check Unit of Measure Configuration:
- Go to the transaction code CUNI (Unit of Measure Conversion) in SAP.
- Verify that the unit of measure you are trying to use is defined correctly and has the appropriate dimension for temperature.
- If the unit is not defined, you may need to create it or modify the existing one to ensure it is recognized as a temperature unit.
Use Correct Temperature Units:
- Ensure that you are using standard temperature units such as Celsius (°C), Fahrenheit (°F), or Kelvin (K).
- If you are entering data manually, double-check the unit of measure field to ensure it is set to a valid temperature unit.
Review Material Master Data:
- If the error occurs in the context of a material, check the material master data to ensure that the correct unit of measure is assigned for temperature-related fields.
Consult Documentation:
- Review SAP documentation or help resources for guidance on unit of measure settings and temperature dimensions.
