Message text: Pools at company code level: minimum from plant prices set
You are carrying out a lowest value comparison for pools that are
valuated at company code level. You specified that the weighted mean of
the material prices belonging to a particular category (for example,
tax-based price 1) always results in the corresponding pool price. On
the other hand, the lowest price should be calculated as the minimum of
the material prices. This is not a sound parameter combination.
The system automatically sets the indicator which determines that the
lowest price is obtained from the minimum of the plant prices.
If you want the system to calculate the lowest price as the minimum of
the material prices, you have to select a different option in the
'Pools' column.
Plant 1 Plant 2
Qty Price 1 Price 2 Qty Price 1 Price 2
Material 1 0 pcs 19 20 100 pcs 23 24
Material 2 40 pcs 21 23 20 pcs 19 17
Material 3 70 pcs 22 20 0 pcs 25 24
If you choose the option 'Material prices based on pool' in the 'Pools'
column, the following result is obtained:
Plant 1 Plant 2
Pool 110 pcs 21.64 21.09 120 pcs 22.33 22.83
The system cannot calculate the minimum of the material prices from
this result.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- Pools at company code level: minimum from plant prices set ?The SAP error message MY211, which states "Pools at company code level: minimum from plant prices set," typically occurs in the context of Material Management (MM) and is related to the valuation of materials in the system. This error indicates that there is an issue with the pricing of materials at the company code level, specifically when the system is trying to determine the minimum price from the plant prices set for a material.
Cause:
Price Control Settings: The error often arises when the price control settings for a material are not properly configured. This can happen if the material is set to use a moving average price (V) or standard price (S), but the necessary price data is missing or incorrect.
Missing or Incorrect Master Data: If the material master data is incomplete or incorrect, particularly in the purchasing or accounting views, it can lead to this error. This includes missing plant-specific prices or incorrect valuation class settings.
Inconsistent Data: If there are inconsistencies in the data between different plants or company codes, it can trigger this error. For example, if one plant has a price set and another does not, it can lead to issues when trying to aggregate or pool prices.
Solution:
Check Material Master Data: Review the material master data for the affected material. Ensure that the purchasing and accounting views are correctly filled out, especially the plant-specific prices.
Update Prices: If the prices are missing or incorrect, update them in the material master. You can do this through transaction code MM02 (Change Material) and ensure that the prices are set correctly for all relevant plants.
Review Price Control Settings: Check the price control settings for the material. If the material is set to use a moving average price, ensure that there are sufficient purchase orders or goods movements to establish a valid average price.
Check Configuration: If the issue persists, review the configuration settings in the system related to material valuation and pricing. This may involve checking the valuation classes and account determination settings.
