Message type: E = Error
Message class: MW - Messages IS-R / Allocation Tables
Message number: 639
Message text: No suitable selection variant found (see long text)
For the key figure category entered, the system could not find any
suitable selection variant.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Create a selection variant. To do so, maintain tables MCWSVK and
MCWSVF. You do this via the "Create selection variant" function in the
allocation table menu or in Customizing for allocation rules.
If you maintain the table via the menu, the system creates the
necessary table entries for you. If you create the data in Customizing,
proceed as follows:
In table MCWSVK you can create a new selection variant. Give the
selection variant a name and a short text and define the information
stucture to be accessed.
You maintain table MCWSVF as follows:
Decide the hierarchy level on which you wish to analyze RIS data.
If you wish to analyze the material group level, enter the following
data:
SVARI = Name of the selection variant to be created
SVFNA = MATKL
SVKZFUSE = S
If you wish to analyze the material group level 1, enter the following
data:
SVARI = Name of the selection variant to be created
SVFNA = WGRU1
SVKZFUSE = S
If you wish to analyze the material group level 2, enter the following
data:
SVARI = Name of the selection variant to be created
SVFNA = WGRU2
SVKZFUSE = S
If you wish to analyze materials, enter the following data:
SVARI = Name of the selection variant to be created
SVFNA = MATNR
SVKZFUSE = S
Depending on the periodicity of the information structure to be
analyzed, create an entry for the period:
SVARI = Name of the selection variant
SVFNAM = SPTAG (if info structure period = day) or
SVFNAM = SPWOC (if info structure period = week) or
SVFNAM = SPMON (if info structure period = month) or
SVFNAM = SPBUP (if info structure period = posting period)
SVKZFUSE = S.
So that you can analyze the planning data or actual data in the info
structure, create the following entry for the selection variant:
SVARI = Name of selection variant
SVFNAM = VRSIO
SVKZFUSE = S.
Since data for plants are to be analyzed, create the following entry
for the selection variant:
SVARI = Name of selection variant
SVFNAM = WERKS
SVKZFUSE = S.
Now create entries for the actual key figures for which you wish to
create an analysis from the information system. To do so, create an
entry as follows for each key figure:
SVARI = Name of selection variant
SVFNAM = 'Name of key figure field'
SVKZFUSE = R.
