- Method &2 is not allowed for planned order &1 ?The SAP error message MMRP01145, which states "Method &2 is not allowed for planned order &1," typically occurs in the context of production planning and order management within SAP. This error indicates that a specific method (e.g., a certain type of processing or action) is not permitted for the planned order in question.
Cause:
The error can arise due to several reasons, including:
- Incorrect Order Type: The planned order may be of a type that does not support the method you are trying to use (e.g., converting a planned order to a production order).
- Status of the Planned Order: The planned order may be in a status that does not allow the action you are attempting (e.g., it may be locked or already processed).
- Configuration Issues: There may be configuration settings in the system that restrict certain methods for specific order types or statuses.
- Authorization Issues: The user may not have the necessary authorizations to perform the action on the planned order.
Solution:
To resolve the error, you can take the following steps:
Check Order Type: Verify that the planned order type supports the method you are trying to use. You can do this by checking the configuration settings in the SAP system.
Review Planned Order Status: Ensure that the planned order is in a status that allows the action you want to perform. If the order is locked or already processed, you may need to unlock it or create a new order.
Consult Configuration: If you have access to the configuration settings, check the settings for planned orders and the allowed methods. This may involve looking into the configuration of the order types in the Production Planning (PP) module.
Check Authorizations: Ensure that you have the necessary authorizations to perform the action on the planned order. If not, contact your SAP security administrator to request the required permissions.
Use Alternative Methods: If the method you are trying to use is not allowed, consider using an alternative method that is permitted for the planned order.
Related Information:
If the issue persists after following these steps, it may be beneficial to consult with your SAP support team or a functional consultant who specializes in the Production Planning module.
