    The numbers for variants are created by adding a suffix to the number
    of the generic material. For this reason, the number of the generic
    material may contain only &V1& characters.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    If you require more characters, ask your system administrator to
    increase the material number length defined in your system.
