  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message MDG_BS_ECC_SUPP006 - DRF cust. is set to non-harmonized keys for suppliers of client system &1 ?

The SAP error message MDG_BS_ECC_SUPP006 indicates that the Data Replication Framework (DRF) is configured to use non-harmonized keys for suppliers in the specified client system. This typically occurs in the context of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) when there is a mismatch in the key configuration for supplier data between the MDG system and the connected ECC (Enterprise Central Component) system.

    Cause:

    1. Non-Harmonized Keys: The error suggests that the system is trying to replicate supplier data using keys that are not harmonized. This means that the keys used in the MDG system do not match the keys expected in the ECC system.
    2. Configuration Issues: There may be a configuration issue in the DRF settings, where the key mapping for suppliers is not set up correctly.
    3. Data Model Settings: The data model for suppliers in MDG may not be aligned with the ECC system's expectations.

    Solution:

    1. Check DRF Configuration:

      • Go to the DRF configuration in the MDG system and verify the settings for the supplier data model.
      • Ensure that the key mapping is correctly defined and that the keys used in MDG are harmonized with those in the ECC system.
    2. Harmonize Keys:

      • If the keys are indeed non-harmonized, you may need to adjust the configuration to ensure that the keys used in MDG match those in the ECC system.
      • This may involve changing the key settings in the MDG configuration or adjusting the ECC system to accept the keys from MDG.
    3. Check Data Model:

      • Review the data model settings in MDG for suppliers. Ensure that the data model is correctly set up to support the replication of supplier data.
      • Make sure that the relevant fields and keys are included in the data model.
    4. Testing:

      • After making the necessary changes, perform a test replication to ensure that the issue is resolved.
      • Monitor the logs for any further errors or warnings.
    5. Consult Documentation:

      • Refer to the SAP documentation for MDG and DRF for detailed guidance on configuring supplier data replication and harmonizing keys.

    Related Information:

    • SAP Notes: Check for any relevant SAP Notes that may address this specific error or provide additional guidance on DRF configuration and key harmonization.
    • MDG Configuration Guide: Review the MDG configuration guide for best practices on setting up data replication and managing keys.
    • Community Forums: Consider reaching out to SAP community forums or support channels for additional insights or similar experiences from other users.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the MDG_BS_ECC_SUPP006 error and ensure successful replication of supplier data between your MDG and ECC systems.
