    What causes this issue?

In the initial screen, no date was specified for the modification to the
version. In this case, the system takes the most recent valid-from date
of the version of the key figure or evaluation procedure.
    In other words:
If the key figure you entered has not been assigned to an evaluation
procedure, then the system takes the date of the last version of the key
figure. The same applies for evaluation procedures.
If the key figure has already been assigned to an evaluation procedure,
then the system takes the date on which this assignment was made.
If the evaluation procedure assigned has already been run, then the
system takes the date of the latest run and adds one day to it (date of
    latest run + 1 day).

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

If you do not want it to do this (for example, you want the system to
use today's date), then you need to click on the green arrow to return
to the initial screen and enter the change date you require.
