the planning hierarchy (transaction MC62). This generally results in an
error.

Correct your selection by only selecting characteristics combinations
that are available in the planning hierarchy of your information
structure. Alternatively, you can use transaction MC62 to help you to
extend your planning hierarchy to include the missing characteristics
combination. Subsequently, you must call transaction MC94 again (with
/NMC94, for example).
