  • What causes this issue?

    There are two possible causes for this error:
    You have tried to create a planning hierarchy or a planning version.
    You have tried to transfer data to Demand Management from an
    information structure which does not contain the characteristic
    "plant".

    Cause 1
    Either the specified information structure has not been successfully
    generated or it has been changed in a way that is not compatible with
    SOP.
    Cause 2
    It is not possible to transfer data to Demand Management without
    reference to a plant.

    How to fix this error?

    Cause 1
    RESET N1
    Have your systems administrator do the following:
    Check in Customizing for the Logistics Information System (the step
    "Maintain self-defined information structures") that the information
    structure has been successfully generated. If the information structure
    has not been generated, it will not have been saved on the database and
    will therefore not be accessible for planning purposes.
    Ensure that the information structure has not been changed manually in
    the ABAP/4 Dictionary.
    Cause 2
    Plan this material's data in an information structure which contains
    the characteristic "plant".
