Message number: 634
Message text: Simulation terminated. Upper price/value limits unchanged
Since you have changed parameters for this inventory sampling, the
stock population had to be adjusted accordingly. During this
process, the window for simulation of the upper price and value
limits appeared. At this point, you cancelled processing.
Prior to the simulation, the system had formed a new stock population
on the basis of the changes made to the parameters "Consider delete
indicator," Consider zero stock balances," and "Consider ABC
indicator." The changed upper price and value limits are used only
for simulation purposes. Since you have not adopted these changes,
the system will automatically use the original limits again.

Upper price/value limits unchanged," typically occurs during the simulation of a material valuation or pricing procedure in SAP. This error indicates that the system has encountered a situation where the upper price or value limits for a material have not been updated or changed as expected during the simulation process.
Causes:
- Price Control Issues: The material may have a price control setting (e.g., moving average price or standard price) that is not compatible with the changes being simulated.
- Data Inconsistencies: There may be inconsistencies in the master data or transaction data related to the material, such as incorrect pricing conditions or missing information.
- Configuration Settings: The configuration settings for material valuation or pricing may not be set up correctly, leading to issues during the simulation.
- Locked Records: The material or related records may be locked by another transaction or user, preventing updates during the simulation.
- User Authorizations: The user may not have the necessary authorizations to make changes to the pricing or valuation data.
Solutions:
- Check Material Master Data: Review the material master data for the affected material to ensure that all relevant fields are correctly filled out and that the price control settings are appropriate.
- Review Pricing Conditions: Check the pricing conditions in the pricing procedure to ensure they are set up correctly and that there are no missing or incorrect entries.
- Unlock Records: If the material or related records are locked, coordinate with other users or system administrators to unlock them.
- Check User Authorizations: Ensure that the user has the necessary authorizations to perform the simulation and make changes to the pricing or valuation data.
- Consult Configuration Settings: Review the configuration settings for material valuation and pricing in the SAP system to ensure they are set up correctly.
- Run Simulation Again: After addressing the above issues, attempt to run the simulation again to see if the error persists.
