Message text: Indicator for SU management cannot be changed
While you were switching on/off the SU Management function, the system
found that there are still <GL:quant>quants</> in the
<GL:storage_type>storage type</> "&V1&". For technical reasons,
changing this indicator is only allowed if there are no more quants
left in the storage type concerned.
If you want to switch on/off the SU Management function, storage type "
&V1&" must first be cleared, that is, no quants may be left in the
storage type.

- Indicator for SU management cannot be changed ?The SAP error message LT152, which states "Indicator for SU management cannot be changed," typically occurs when there is an attempt to change the Storage Unit (SU) management indicator for a storage type or storage bin that is already in use or has existing data associated with it. This error is common in warehouse management scenarios where the system is trying to enforce data integrity and consistency.
Cause:
- Existing Data: The storage unit management indicator is already set for existing storage units, and changing it would conflict with the current data.
- Active Transactions: There may be ongoing transactions or processes that are utilizing the storage type or storage bin, preventing changes to the SU management settings.
- Configuration Restrictions: The system may have restrictions based on the configuration settings that prevent changes to the SU management indicator once it has been set.
Solution:
- Check Existing Data: Review the existing storage units and their statuses. If there are active storage units, you may need to clear or archive them before changing the indicator.
- End Active Processes: Ensure that there are no active transactions or processes that are using the storage type or bin. This may involve completing or canceling ongoing warehouse activities.
- Review Configuration: Check the configuration settings in the Warehouse Management module to ensure that the SU management indicator can be changed. If necessary, consult with your SAP administrator or a functional consultant to understand the implications of changing this setting.
- Use Transaction Codes: You can use transaction codes like
LT01
(Create Transfer Order),LT02
(Change Transfer Order), orLT03
(Display Transfer Order) to manage and review the transfer orders associated with the storage units.- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidelines on changing SU management indicators and the implications of such changes.
