Message text: Course cannot be historically recorded; curriculum participation exists
There are participants that were booked for a curriculum or that can
only be followed up as part of the curriculum. The system will create a
list of these bookings and skip them during follow-up processing.
If you want to historically record this course, you must follow up
these bookings as well.
The system removes the historical record flag.
To see what curricula still need to be followed up, refer to the list
of skipped participants. Follow up these curricula. You can then
historically record this course.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

LSO564
- Course cannot be historically recorded; curriculum participation exists ?The SAP error message LSO564 indicates that a course cannot be historically recorded because there is existing curriculum participation for the user. This typically occurs in the context of SAP Learning Solution (LSO) when trying to record attendance or completion for a course that is part of a curriculum that the user is already enrolled in.
Cause:

Solution:
To resolve this error, you can consider the following approaches:
Check Curriculum Participation:
- Review the user's curriculum participation to see if they are currently enrolled in the curriculum that includes the course.
- If they are, you may need to complete or remove the curriculum participation before you can record the course historically.
Complete the Curriculum:
- If the user has completed the curriculum, ensure that all necessary steps have been taken to finalize their participation. This may involve marking the curriculum as completed.
Remove or Adjust Participation:
- If appropriate, you can remove the user from the curriculum or adjust their participation status. This should be done with caution, as it may affect their training records.
Consult Documentation:
- Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific steps on managing curriculum participation and historical recording.
