  • What causes this issue?

The transfer order display for the <GL:group>group</> is set up in such
a way that the same sort method is called up as for printing the
reference numbers. In the standard program (RLKOMM00) for printing the
pick list, there is a routine defined that executes the sorting on the
basis of a sort indicator from the Customizing setting. This routine is
called up from the transfer order display for the reference number.
This message states that the system could not call up the sort routine
mentioned above. This can be caused by the following:
For printing the pick list, you should not use the standard program by
SAP, but your own special report. In this report, which you have
included in the print control for multiple processing, the above sort
    routine does not exist.

    How to fix this error?

Check the processing of your pick list printing and, if necessary, adapt
your own print program so that it knows the sort routine.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message L3718 - Routing for sorting selected transfer orders does not exist ?

The SAP error message L3718, "Routing for sorting selected transfer orders does not exist," typically occurs in the context of warehouse management and logistics when the system is unable to find a routing definition for the sorting of transfer orders. This can happen during processes such as stock transfers, picking, or other warehouse operations where sorting is required.

    Cause:

    1. Missing Routing Definition: The primary cause of this error is that there is no routing defined for the specific transfer order type or the warehouse process being executed.
    2. Incorrect Configuration: The routing may not be properly configured in the system, or it may not be assigned to the relevant transfer order type.
    3. Data Inconsistencies: There may be inconsistencies in the master data, such as the material master or the warehouse master data, that prevent the system from finding the correct routing.
    4. Transfer Order Type: The transfer order type being used may not have an associated routing for sorting.

    Solution:

    1. Check Routing Configuration:

      • Go to the transaction code SPRO and navigate to the relevant configuration settings for warehouse management.
      • Ensure that the routing for sorting is defined for the transfer order type you are using. This can typically be found under:
        • Logistics Execution > Warehouse Management > Activities > Define Routing for Sorting.
    2. Create or Update Routing:

      • If the routing does not exist, you may need to create a new routing for the sorting process. Ensure that it is correctly linked to the relevant transfer order types.
      • If it exists but is not correctly configured, update the routing to ensure it meets the requirements of your warehouse processes.
    3. Check Transfer Order Type:

      • Verify that the transfer order type being used is correct and that it has the necessary settings for sorting.
      • You can check this in the configuration settings for transfer order types.
    4. Review Master Data:

      • Ensure that the material master and warehouse master data are correctly set up and that there are no inconsistencies that could affect routing.
    5. Testing:

      • After making the necessary changes, test the process again to see if the error persists.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with relevant transaction codes such as LT03 (Create Transfer Order), LT12 (Confirm Transfer Order), and SPRO (Customizing).
    • Documentation: Refer to SAP Help documentation for detailed guidance on warehouse management and routing configurations.
    • Support: If the issue persists after checking the above points, consider reaching out to your SAP support team or consulting with an SAP expert for further assistance.
