  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You maintain the master data for a characteristic using a view and
special maintenance modules created for the view. In order to generate
the maintenance modules, you must assign the view to a reserved
function group, make an entry in table TVDIR and start program RSVIEWGN
    or RSVIEWMA.
During the generation of the structure, a view is automatically
generated for new characteristics and an entry is written in table
TVDIR. You create view maintenance modules later in a dialog box when
    you generate the structure environment.
Example of TVDIR entries for a characteristic with check table T2705
    (two entries per characteristic):

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    View Func.grp Screen number
    T2705 0KV0 1105 and
    V_T2705 0KV0 1005.
If a reserved function group is full, new views cannot be assigned to
    this group.

    System Response

    How to fix this error?

Start transaction SE54 'Generate view maintenance tool' and process the
function group. Remove maintenance modules which do not belong in this
    group from the group.
You can also use the function 'Reorganize view maintenance modules' to
    regenerate the entire function group.

      • Create a New Function Group: If the current function group is full, you may need to create a new function group to house additional function modules.
      • Refactor Existing Code: If possible, refactor existing function modules to reduce the number of modules in the full function group.
