This error typically arises in the context of controlling (CO) when you attempt to post or change a transaction that involves a cost object (like a cost center or internal order) that has had its profit center changed.
Cause:
The primary cause of the KO367 error is that the profit center associated with a cost object has been modified after the original posting was made. Check the Profit Center Assignment: Verify the profit center assignment for the cost object in question. Ensure that the profit center is correctly assigned and that you are not trying to change it in a way that violates SAP's rules.
Review Transaction History: Look at the transaction history for the cost object to understand when and why the profit center was changed. This can help you determine if the change was necessary or if it can be reverted.
Use Correct Posting Methods: If you need to post to a different profit center, consider creating a new cost object with the correct profit center rather than changing the existing one.
Consult with Your SAP Administrator: If you are unsure about the changes or need to make adjustments, consult with your SAP administrator or a financial controller. They can provide guidance on how to handle the situation according to your organization's policies.
Check Configuration Settings: In some cases, the error may be related to configuration settings in the SAP system. Ensure that the settings for profit center accounting are correctly configured.
