Message text: If possible, reduce the char. values in the exception for char. "&1"
SAP recommends maintaining a maximum of 5 characteristic values in an
exception. It is not considered practical to maintain any greater
number. However, the number of characteristic values maintained in the
exception exceeds the recommended amount. Note that the effect an
exception has on system performance is proportional to the complexity
of the exception. For this reason, it is advisable to keep exceptions
as simple as possible.

KE0C232
- If possible, reduce the char. values in the exception for char. "&1" ?The SAP error message KE0C232 typically occurs in the context of controlling (CO) when you are trying to execute a report or transaction that involves characteristics (char.) in a CO-PA (Profitability Analysis) context. The error indicates that the character value for a specific characteristic is too long or exceeds the allowed limit.

SPRO
) and checking the settings for the characteristic in the CO-PA module.Reduce Character Value: If you have control over the data being input, ensure that the values assigned to the characteristic do not exceed the maximum length. This may involve truncating the data or using a different value that fits within the allowed length.
Data Validation: Implement data validation checks in your data entry processes to prevent users from entering values that exceed the defined limits.
Review Data Sources: If the data is coming from an external source (like a data upload or integration), ensure that the source data is being formatted correctly before it is sent to SAP.
