- MeasDocs have already been entered for the order operation ?The SAP error message IR143 indicates that measurement documents (MeasDocs) have already been entered for a specific order operation. This typically occurs in the context of production or maintenance orders where measurement documents are used to record actual values related to operations, such as quantities produced, time taken, or other relevant metrics.
Cause:
- Duplicate Entry: The most common cause of this error is an attempt to enter measurement documents for an operation that already has existing entries. This can happen if the user tries to record measurements again without first checking if they have already been recorded.

Solution:
Check Existing Measurement Documents: Before attempting to enter new measurement documents, check if there are already existing entries for the operation. You can do this by navigating to the relevant transaction (e.g., CO03 for production orders) and reviewing the measurement documents associated with the operation.
Delete or Modify Existing Entries: If you find that there are existing measurement documents that are incorrect or need to be updated, you may need to delete or modify them, depending on your organization's policies and the system's configuration.
Review Order Status: Ensure that the order and operation status allows for the entry of measurement documents. If the order is completed or closed, you may need to reopen it or follow the appropriate procedures to make changes.
