Message text: Permit & is already being used and therefore cannot be deleted
Permit &V1& is already being used in a:
Functional location
Piece of equipment
Service or maintenance order
The permit cannot be deleted as long as this assignment exists.
Block the permit with the usage block, so that the permit cannot be
reassigned to one of the aforementioned objects.
Then delete the assignment of the permit to all the technical objects
(functional location, equipment), so that the permit is not proposed

The system status of an order determines whether the assignment of a

if an order has been archived.
You can only delete the permit if all these assignments have been
deleted.

- Permit & is already being used and therefore cannot be deleted ?The SAP error message IG100, which states "Permit & is already being used and therefore cannot be deleted," typically occurs when you attempt to delete a permit (such as a license, authorization, or similar entity) that is currently in use or has dependencies in the system. This can happen in various SAP modules, particularly in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) or other compliance-related areas.
Cause:
- Active Usage: The permit is currently assigned to one or more objects (e.g., equipment, locations, or processes) in the system.
- Dependencies: There may be other records or transactions that reference the permit, making it impossible to delete without first removing those references.

Check Usage: Identify where the permit is being used. You can do this by:
- Reviewing the permit assignment in the relevant transactions or reports.
- Using transaction codes like

(for equipment) to see if the permit is linked to any active records.Remove Dependencies: If the permit is linked to other objects, you will need to:
- Unassign the permit from those objects.
- Delete or modify any transactions that reference the permit.
Consult Documentation: Refer to the SAP documentation or help files related to the specific module you are working with for more detailed instructions on managing permits.
Use Transaction Codes: Depending on the module, you may use specific transaction codes to manage permits. For example:
