    Check whether:
    The categories have been created for the object family. To do this,
    choose the transaction COMM_HIERARCHY.
    A number range is assigned to the object family. To do this, choose the
    transaction SNUM for the number range objects MATERIALID or SERVICEID.
    If no settings have been made for one of the points mentioned, make the
    settings according to the documents for the customizing nodes
    <ls>Customer Relationship Management -> Master Data -> Installed Base
    -> <DS:CHAP.CRM_IB_OBJFAM_GEN>Individual Objects/Object Family</></>.
