I0213
- Planning plant & cannot be set because you do not have authorization ?The SAP error message I0213 indicates that a user is attempting to set a planning plant in a transaction or process but does not have the necessary authorization to do so. This is a common issue in SAP systems where user roles and authorizations are strictly managed to ensure data integrity and security.
Cause:
- Lack of Authorization: The user does not have the required authorization object to perform actions related to the planning plant.
- Role Assignment: The user’s role may not include the necessary permissions for the specific transaction or activity they are trying to execute.
- Configuration Issues: There may be issues with how the authorization roles are configured in the system.
Solution:
Check User Authorizations:
- Use transaction code
SU53
immediately after encountering the error. This will show you the last authorization check and help identify which specific authorization is missing.- Alternatively, you can use transaction
SU01
to check the user’s roles and authorizations.Review Role Assignments:
- Ensure that the user has the appropriate roles assigned that include the necessary authorizations for the planning plant.
- If the user needs access to a specific planning plant, ensure that the role includes the relevant authorization objects (e.g.,
M_MATE_WRK
,M_MATE_MRP
, etc.).Modify Roles:
- If you have the necessary permissions, you can modify the user’s roles using transaction
PFCG
to add the required authorizations.- If you do not have the necessary permissions, contact your SAP security administrator or the person responsible for managing user roles and authorizations.
Testing:
- After making changes to the roles or authorizations, have the user log out and log back in to ensure that the changes take effect.
- Test the transaction again to confirm that the error has been resolved.
