The earnings/deduction properties of wage types are maintained in table
T511. To configure wage types using this tool, an entry must be made
in this table. This tells the tool whether the wage type is used for
earnings or deductions.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
You can maintain this table in two ways:
In the table maintenance transaction (sm30), enter V_T511. Use the
position button to find and select the wage type in the table and
select Details.
If this is a deduction wage type, select the Deduction WT box.
iI this is an earnings wage type, deselect the Deduction WT box.
Maintain the wage type properties in the IMG: <ZK>Payroll USA -> Basic
Settings -> Environment for Maintaining Wage Types -> Check wage type
attributes</>.
