  • What causes this issue?

You get the error message "You can only have one personnel number for
comp code &V1&, user ID &V2&" when multiple personnel numbers exist for
a combination of company code (for example US01) and user ID (for
    example tmilller).
This issue can occur when a user ID is not maintained to be uppercase
unique in the Employee Central system. This means two different
employees are assigned the similar user IDs that only differ in case.
For example, an employee named Thomas Miller is assigned the user ID
"tmiller" and another employee named Theodore Miller is assigned the
user id "TMiller". The Employee Central Payroll system doesn't support
this differentiation, therefore, you get this error message.

    System Response

show him this message. The system administrator has to make sure that
user IDs are unique, also in respect to case.

    Procedure for System Administrators

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message HRSFEC_KEY_MAPPING026 - You can only have one personnel number for comp code &1, user ID &2 ?

The SAP error message HRSFEC_KEY_MAPPING026 indicates that there is an issue with the mapping of personnel numbers to user IDs within a specific company code. This error typically arises in the context of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central integration with SAP ERP or S/4HANA, where there is a conflict in the assignment of personnel numbers to user IDs.

    Cause:

    The error occurs when:

    • There is an attempt to assign multiple personnel numbers to the same user ID within a specific company code.
    • The system enforces a one-to-one relationship between personnel numbers and user IDs for a given company code, and the current mapping violates this rule.

    Solution:

To resolve this error, you can take the following steps:

    1. Check Existing Mappings:

      • Review the existing mappings of personnel numbers to user IDs in the system. You can do this by navigating to the relevant configuration or mapping tables in SAP.
      • Identify if there are multiple personnel numbers assigned to the same user ID for the specified company code.
    2. Correct the Mapping:

      • If you find that a user ID is incorrectly mapped to multiple personnel numbers, you will need to correct this mapping.
      • Decide which personnel number should remain associated with the user ID and remove or reassign the others.
    3. Update the Integration Configuration:

      • If the error is occurring during an integration process (e.g., during a data load from SuccessFactors to SAP), ensure that the integration configuration is set up correctly to prevent such conflicts.
      • Check the data being sent from SuccessFactors to ensure that it adheres to the one-to-one mapping requirement.
    4. Test the Changes:

      • After making the necessary corrections, test the changes to ensure that the error no longer occurs and that the mappings are functioning as expected.
    5. Consult Documentation:

      • Refer to SAP documentation or support notes related to personnel number and user ID mapping for additional guidance and best practices.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: You may need to use transaction codes like PA30 (Maintain HR Master Data) or SU01 (User Maintenance) to view and edit personnel data and user IDs.
    • Integration Tools: If you are using middleware (like SAP Cloud Platform Integration) for data transfer, check the mapping configurations there as well.
    • SAP Notes: Look for relevant SAP Notes that may provide additional insights or fixes related to this error message.

If the issue persists after following these steps, consider reaching out to your SAP support team or consulting with an SAP expert for further assistance.

SAP messages fall into 3 different categories: Error messages (message type = E), Warnings (W) or Informational (I) messages.

An error message will prevent you from continuing your work - it is a hard stop and you need to fix the error before you can proceed. A warning message will stop your work, however, you can then bypass the warning by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. That said, it is still good practice to investigate the cause of the warning message and address it. An information message will not stop your work and is truly just for informational purposes.
