  • What causes this issue?

Please check whether it is necessary to note a hierarchy.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

You have specified a source field and a formula. If a source field has
been given, the hierarchy will automatically be determined. If data
from lower document hierarchies are still processed in the formula,
they cannot then be automatically determined. In this case, please
    maintain the hierarchy manually.
    Using the hierarchy:
By using the hierarchy, you can determine which data from the document
are necessary in order to correctly update the key figure. If a
hierarchy is too high, not all of the data will be available from the
    document for the statistical update.
