  • Message text: Incomplete company assignment when determining entry/leaving date

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

When determining the employee's entry date and leaving date, the system
found a company assignment (ELM) only for part of the organizational
    assigment (view <AB>V_T5C0P,</> field <AB>V_T5C0P-ABREINHEIT</>).

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    Organizational assignment:
    Start date: &V1&
    End date: &V2&
    Personnel area: &V2&
    Personnel subarea: &V4&

    System Response

The system cannot determine the employee's entry date and leaving date.
Because the entry date is obligatory, the system consequently cannot
create a valid notification (ELM). Particularly entry dates and leaving
dates due to employees changing companies cannot be determined if the
    company information is incomplete.
If this notification only appears as a warning, the system interpreted
all periods without a company assignment as inactive as a workaround. As
long as at least one active period remains, an entry date can still be
determined, and the notification is formally complete and can be
transferred. However, an entry date determined this way is generally
    technically incorrect.

    How to fix this error?

    Procedure for System Administrators

Either do not maintain the company assignment in view <AB>V_T5C0P</> at
all (for example, if you manage only one company in the system), or
fully maintain it for all combinations of personnel areas and subareas
in Switzerland that are or were relevant to the employees to be
    reported.
If the person's entry date and leaving date are still correct, you can
still transfer the notification if required.
Alternatively, you can use a customer implementation to determine entry
and leaving dates with BAdI "BAdI: Personal Data and Work Center
    Information" (definition name <AB>HRPAYCHELM01</>).
