SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message class: HRPAYATLZ - Messages for Payslip Functions

  • Message number: 056

  • Message text: General message for mass system changes (rule &4); see long text

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

A field value was changed by the system due to the validation
rule/checking rule (see view cluster VC_T5A7E). All changes made by the
system in checking rules in the customer namespace are logged as
messages. One message is generally reported for each personnel number
affected. When mass changes are made, it is possible to generate one
general message rather than numerous person-specific messages by calling
the message with <LS>message class</> HRPAYATLZ and <LS>message number
</> 056 from the checking rule.
This technical message is displayed because a substitute message is not
currently defined in the validation rule.

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

To issue a more descriptive message, you need to make the system changes
    outlined below.
If required, contact your system administrator to have these steps
    performed.
Using transaction SE91, define a message in a message class from your
namespace that will replace this technical message.
To define the link to your message, use transaction SM34 and view
cluster VC_T5A7E for the relevant checking rule line in the <LS>Message
Variable 1</> field to enter the substitute message class and message
number in this order and separated by an ampersand (&). You can also
enter a variable text after this if required, also separated by an
    ampersand (&).
Furthermore, in the <LS>Message Variable 2</> and <LS>Message Variable 3
</> fields, you can specify additional variables for the substitute
    message.
<LS>Message Variable 4</> stores the subapplication and the check field
    from the validation rule.
The message type is determined from the <LS>Reaction</> field in the
checking rule. The <LS>Reaction</> field must be set to 'Successful and
Exiting of Checking Rule'. If the <LS>Reaction</> field is not
maintained, the person-specific message HRPAYATLZ(055) is always
    displayed.

    How can this happen?

    Subapplication:,,'BBG2'
    Check field:,,'VSZW3'
Operation:,,:= Assignment of value to payslip field
Reaction:,,Successful and Exiting of Checking Rule
    Message variable 1:,,'ZRPAYATLZVARIABLE 1'
    Message variable 2:,,'VARIABLE 2'
    Message variable 3:,,'VARIABLE 3'
Based on this data, the system creates a general message that is
    reflected in the following statement.
MESSAGE ID 'ZRPAYATLZ' TYPE 'S' NUMBER 001
    WITH 'VARIABLE 1' 'PV' 'N' 'BBG2/VSZW3'.
