  • What causes this issue?

A person may have only one residence permit status (infotype record) at
any one time. The record that you want to add, however, overlaps with an
existing record (Residence permit status: &SYST-MSGV1&, Validity Start
Date: &SYST-MSGV2&, Validity End Date: &SYST-MSGV3&).

    System Response

The infotype record cannot be saved.

    How to fix this error?

If you want the system to delete or restrict the existing record,
    proceed as follows:
Save the record that you want to add with the residence permit status of
    the old record (&SYST-MSGV4&)
Change the residence permit status of the record to the desired value (&
    SYST-MSGV4&).
Alternatively, choose a different period for the record that you want to
add, or change the existing records so that they do not overlap once you
    add this new record.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
