HRHCP00_PLAN093
- Error in BAdI implementation; periods have gaps ?The SAP error message HRHCP00_PLAN093, which indicates "Error in BAdI implementation; periods have gaps," typically arises in the context of the SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) module, particularly when dealing with planning or time management functionalities. This error suggests that there are inconsistencies in the time periods being processed, which can occur due to various reasons.
Cause:
Gaps in Time Periods: The most common cause of this error is that there are gaps in the time periods defined for a particular planning object. For example, if you are trying to plan for a specific time frame, and there are missing periods (e.g., a month is missing), the system will throw this error.
Incorrect BAdI Implementation: The error may also stem from an incorrect implementation of a Business Add-In (BAdI) that is supposed to handle the planning logic. If the BAdI is not correctly coded to handle the time periods, it can lead to this error.
Data Inconsistencies: There may be inconsistencies in the underlying data, such as missing entries in the database tables that are supposed to hold the planning data.
Solution:
Check Time Periods: Review the time periods defined for the planning object. Ensure that there are no gaps in the periods. You may need to adjust the planning settings or add the missing periods.
Review BAdI Implementation: If you have custom BAdI implementations, review the code to ensure that it correctly handles the time periods. Make sure that the logic accounts for all necessary periods and does not skip any.
Data Consistency Check: Perform a consistency check on the relevant data. This may involve checking the database tables for missing entries or inconsistencies that could lead to gaps in the planning periods.
Debugging: If you have access to the development environment, you can debug the BAdI implementation to identify where the error is occurring. This can help pinpoint the exact cause of the issue.
Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to the specific BAdI you are using. There may be known issues or additional configuration steps required.
SAP Support: If the issue persists and you cannot resolve it, consider reaching out to SAP support for assistance. They may provide patches or additional guidance based on the specific version of SAP you are using.
