  • What causes this issue?

You want to delete the transaction data of a ledger that is assigned to
    a splitting method (split ledger).

    System Response

Deletion of the data could cause the data to be irreversibly lost.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

The data of a ledger to which a splitting method is assigned might not
be able to be posted subsequently or only with considerable difficulties
because sequence problems (such as the subsequent posting of a payment
before the invoice) may occur or process chains may be interrupted (by
the multiple cancellation of a reversal or clearing).
Another problem is that certain fields that were not filled by the
original online posting remain empty after subsequent posting for
technical reasons, and this could result in different results with the
subsequent posting compared to the online posting.
Since document splitting was designed for online processing, these
errors do not stem from the subsequent posting.

    How to fix this error?

Establish whether you actually want to delete the data, and cancel the
deletion in the next dialog box.
