GR158
- All extracts will be printed with active variation ?The SAP error message GR158, which states "All extracts will be printed with active variation," typically occurs in the context of the SAP system when dealing with report variants or print layouts. This message is not necessarily an error in the traditional sense but rather a warning or informational message indicating that the system will use the active variant for printing all extracts.
Cause:
- Active Variant Not Defined: The system may not have a specific variant defined for the report or extract you are trying to run, so it defaults to using the active variant.
- Variant Configuration: There may be issues with the configuration of the report variants, such as missing parameters or settings that are not properly defined.
- User Permissions: The user may not have the necessary permissions to access or use specific variants, leading the system to revert to the active one.
Solution:
- Check Variants: Review the variants available for the report or extract you are running. Ensure that the correct variant is defined and active.
- Go to the transaction code for the report (e.g., SE38 for ABAP reports) and check the variants associated with it.
- Define a New Variant: If the active variant is not suitable, consider creating a new variant that meets your requirements.
- You can do this by executing the report, entering the desired parameters, and saving them as a new variant.
- Review User Permissions: Ensure that the user has the necessary permissions to access the required variants. This may involve checking roles and authorizations in the SAP system.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance on the report you are working with, as there may be additional settings or configurations needed.
