  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The &V3& of step &V4& for validation &V1& is saved in the system as
rule &V2&. The data of this rule is not compatible with validation
    &V1&.

    System Response

The code for the validation was generated incorrectly. The maintenance
or deletion of validation &V1& is not possible!

    How to fix this error?

    You have two possibilities:
With help from program <DS:REPN.RGUGBT12>RGUGBT12</>, you can attempt
to restore the data consistency of validation &V1& by selecting the
first option ("Correct Boolean class"). You can then maintain the
validation with the help of transaction <DS:TRAN.GGB0>GGB0</> and then
attempt to save. If that does not work:
You can delete the validation with the help of program
(<DS:REPN.RGUGBT12>RGUGBT12</>). Select the second option ("Delete
validation"). If the validation is being used, this will be displayed
before the confirmation prompt. Prior to this, you can list the
contents of the validation (as long as the existing data allow it)
using transaction <DS:TRAN.GGB0>GGB0</> in conjunction with the
    "Validation --> Print" function.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    3. Test Validations: Use the test functionality in the validation configuration to simulate transactions and see where the inconsistencies arise.
    4. Transport Check: If the issue arose after a transport, check the transport logs for any errors or warnings. Ensure that all necessary objects were included in the transport.
    5. Consult Documentation: Review SAP documentation or notes related to validation rules for any known issues or additional configuration steps that may be required.
