Message text: Cycle updated in all current execution periods
You execute cycle &V1&, starting date &V2& in test run. However, the
cycle is current in the system in all execution periods (period &V3& to
&V4&) so that this test run will have differences compared to a
production run.
For example, all senders in the cycle, which are to allocate posted
values or quantities to 100 percent are actually credited completely
and are therefore not included in further processing (refer to further
messages in this log).
Analogously, the tracing factor values determined in the test run can
differ from those in production run (for the receiver rule "variable
portions", "actual costs or planned costs" and a cost element posted by
the cycle).
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

GA831
- Cycle updated in all current execution periods ?The SAP error message GA831, which states "Cycle updated in all current execution periods," typically occurs in the context of the SAP Controlling (CO) module, particularly when dealing with internal orders, cost centers, or other controlling objects that utilize cycles for allocation.
Cause:
This error usually arises when there is an attempt to execute a cycle that has already been updated in all current execution periods. This can happen due to:
- Cycle Execution: The cycle has already been executed for the current period, and the system does not allow re-execution without resetting or changing the execution status.
- Period Locking: The periods may be locked for posting or execution, preventing any further updates.
- Configuration Issues: There may be issues with the configuration of the cycles or the settings in the controlling area.
Solution:
To resolve the GA831 error, you can take the following steps:
Check Execution Status: Verify if the cycle has already been executed for the current period. You can do this by checking the cycle execution logs or the status in the cycle configuration.
Reset Execution: If you need to re-execute the cycle, you may need to reset the execution status. This can typically be done through the transaction code KSV5 (for cycle execution) or KSV1 (for cycle definition) depending on your specific needs.
Period Management: Ensure that the periods are open for posting and execution. You can check this in the period control settings in the controlling area.
Review Configuration: Check the configuration of the cycles in the controlling area to ensure that they are set up correctly. This includes reviewing the allocation structure and the parameters defined for the cycle.
Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific details on cycle execution and error handling.
Contact Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to your SAP support team or consulting with an SAP expert who can provide more tailored assistance based on your system configuration.
