GA061
- The reference cycle specified has another actual/plan indicator ?The SAP error message GA061 indicates that there is a reference cycle in the system that involves different actual/plan indicators. This typically occurs in the context of controlling (CO) or financial accounting (FI) when dealing with cost centers, internal orders, or other financial objects that are linked in a circular manner.
Cause:
- Reference Cycle: The error arises when there is a circular reference in the planning or actual data. For example, if cost center A references cost center B, and cost center B references cost center A, but they have different indicators (e.g., one is set for actual data and the other for planned data), this will trigger the error.
- Different Indicators: The actual/plan indicators for the involved objects do not match, which is a requirement for the system to process the data correctly.
Solution:
- Identify the Cycle: Use transaction codes like KOB1 (for orders) or KSB1 (for cost centers) to analyze the cost flow and identify the objects involved in the reference cycle.
- Check Indicators: Review the actual/plan indicators for the involved cost centers or orders. Ensure that they are consistent across the cycle.
- Adjust Planning: If necessary, adjust the planning settings or the actual postings to eliminate the circular reference or to align the indicators.
- Reprocess Data: After making the necessary adjustments, reprocess the data to see if the error persists.
