Message type: E = Error
Message class: G01 - SAP Consolidation
Message number: 047
Message text: Dimension &1 is not allowed in SAP S/4HANA and will be changed for Y1
In <LS>Global Settings</>, you have defined the &V3& fiscal year as the
<LS>effective from fiscal year for line items in SAP S/4HANA</>.
In the global parameters for your user, you have specified the following
values:
Dimension &V1&
Fiscal year &V2&
In the <LS>effective from fiscal year for line items in SAP S/4HANA</>
and in later fiscal years than the effective from fiscal year, the
system status is "SAP S/4HANA". In this system status, value <ZH>Y1</>
is exclusively allowed for the <LS>Dimension</> characteristic.
The system changes dimension &V1& that you specified to Y1.
So you can work in a different dimension to Y1, in the global
parameters, you must specify dimension Y1 <ZH>and</> a fiscal year
earlier than the <LS>effective from fiscal year for line items in SAP
S/4HANA</>.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

This error typically arises in the context of financial reporting or data modeling, particularly when working with the Universal Journal (ACDOCA) or when using the new data model in S/4HANA.
Cause:
- Dimension Restrictions: In S/4HANA, certain dimensions may be restricted or not applicable due to the new data model. This can happen if the dimension is not supported in the context of the reporting or data structure you are working with.

- Data Migration Issues: If you are migrating from an older version of SAP to S/4HANA, there may be inconsistencies in the data model that lead to this error.
Solution:
- Check Dimension Configuration: Review the configuration of the dimensions in your system. Ensure that the dimensions you are trying to use are supported in S/4HANA and are correctly set up in the system.
- Adjust Reporting Queries: If you are using reporting tools (like SAP Fiori or SAP Analytics Cloud), check the queries or reports that are generating this error. You may need to modify them to exclude unsupported dimensions.
- Data Model Alignment: Ensure that your data model aligns with the S/4HANA requirements. This may involve adjusting your data structures or reconfiguring your financial reporting settings.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to the official SAP documentation for S/4HANA to understand the supported dimensions and any changes that may have been introduced in the latest versions.

SAP messages fall into 3 different categories: Error messages
(message type = E), Warnings (W) or Informational (I) messages.
An error message will prevent you from continuing your work - it is a hard stop and you need to fix the error before you can proceed. A warning message will stop your work, however, you can then bypass the warning by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. That said, it is still good practice to investigate the cause of the warning message and address it. An information message will not stop your work and is truly just for informational purposes.
