Message text: Unit of calculation base has wrong dimension
A function module has been specified in Customizing for <ZK>Recipe
Management</> for the <ZK>calculation base</> you chose in the
<ZK>Nutrients</> and <ZK>Nutrient Contribution</> formula views. This
function module does not deliver any units in the dimensions mass and
volume, however, you can only use the dimensions mass and volume as
units of the <ZK>calculation base</>.

FRMLSCN027
- Unit of calculation base has wrong dimension ?The SAP error message FRMLSCN027, which states "Unit of calculation base has wrong dimension," typically occurs in the context of SAP's formula and calculation functionalities, particularly in the areas of planning, forecasting, or reporting. This error indicates that there is a mismatch between the expected dimensions of a unit of measure and the actual dimensions being used in a calculation or formula.
Cause:
- Dimension Mismatch: The unit of measure (UoM) being used in the calculation does not match the expected dimensions defined in the system. For example, if a formula expects a unit of measure in "tons" but receives "liters," this error can occur.
- Incorrect Configuration: The configuration of the units of measure or the dimensions associated with them may not be set up correctly in the system.
- Formula Definition Issues: The formula itself may be incorrectly defined, leading to the use of incompatible units of measure.
- Data Entry Errors: Incorrect data entry in the relevant fields can lead to this error, especially if the wrong unit of measure is selected.
Solution:
- Check Unit of Measure: Verify that the unit of measure being used in the calculation matches the expected dimensions. Ensure that the UoM is appropriate for the context of the calculation.
- Review Formula Configuration: Go to the formula configuration in SAP and check the definitions. Ensure that the units of measure and their dimensions are correctly defined and aligned with the expected inputs.
- Adjust Data Entry: If the error is due to incorrect data entry, correct the entries to ensure that the right units of measure are being used.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for guidance on the specific formula or calculation you are working with. This can provide insights into the expected dimensions and units of measure.
- Test with Sample Data: If possible, test the formula with sample data that is known to work correctly. This can help isolate whether the issue is with the data or the formula itself.
- Seek Help from SAP Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to SAP support or consulting with a technical expert who can provide deeper insights into the configuration and setup.
