Message class: FRMLMSC - RMS-FRM: Miscellaneous Messages for Formula
Message number: 106
Message text: Proportional values are converted to unit &1 of target input quantity
In the <LS>Input and Output</> view, you can enter only values either in
the dimension <LS>Proportion</> or in other dimensions. Entry of
proportional values and values in other dimensions is not permitted.
When you synchronize a recipe whose stages were created partly with
proportional values and partly in other dimensions, the system converts
the proportional values in the synchronized formula to the unit of the
target input quantity. This ensures that the synchronized formula does
not simultaneously contain proportional values and values in other
dimensions.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- Proportional values are converted to unit &1 of target input quantity ?The SAP error message FRMLMSC106 indicates that there is an issue with the proportional values being converted to a specific unit of measure for a target input quantity. This error typically arises in the context of material management, production planning, or when dealing with formulas in SAP.
Cause:
- Unit of Measure (UoM) Mismatch: The error often occurs when there is a mismatch between the units of measure used in the formula and the units expected for the target input quantity.
- Incorrect Configuration: The configuration of the material or the formula may not be set up correctly, leading to issues in how values are interpreted or converted.
- Data Entry Errors: There may be errors in the data entry for the quantities or units involved in the formula.
- Formula Definition Issues: The formula itself may not be defined correctly, leading to issues in how the system processes the proportional values.
Solution:
- Check Unit of Measure: Verify that the units of measure for the input quantities and the target quantities are consistent. Ensure that the conversion factors are correctly defined in the system.
- Review Formula Configuration: Go through the formula configuration in SAP to ensure that all parameters are set correctly. This includes checking the input and output quantities and their respective units.
- Correct Data Entry: Review the data entries for any discrepancies or errors. Ensure that all quantities are entered in the correct units.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for guidance on how to properly set up formulas and handle unit conversions.
- Testing: After making adjustments, test the changes in a development or test environment to ensure that the error is resolved before applying changes to the production environment.
