FKK_EBS156
- Parallelization variant could not be updated ?The SAP error message FKK_EBS156 indicates that there was an issue with updating a parallelization variant in the context of Electronic Bank Statement (EBS) processing. This error typically arises when there are problems related to the configuration or execution of the EBS process, particularly when multiple processes are trying to access or modify the same data simultaneously.
Causes:
- Concurrency Issues: The error may occur if multiple sessions or processes are trying to update the same parallelization variant at the same time.
- Configuration Errors: Incorrect configuration settings for the EBS processing or parallelization variants can lead to this error.
- Authorization Issues: Lack of proper authorizations for the user trying to execute the transaction can also result in this error.
- Data Locking: If the data is locked by another process, it may prevent the update from being completed.
- System Bugs: Occasionally, this error can be caused by bugs in the SAP system or specific versions of the software.
Solutions:
- Check for Locks: Use transaction code SM12 to check for any locks on the relevant tables. If you find locks, you may need to wait for the other processes to complete or resolve the locks.
- Review Configuration: Ensure that the configuration for the EBS and parallelization variants is set up correctly. This includes checking the settings in transaction OBPM1 (for EBS) and ensuring that the parallelization variant is correctly defined.
- User Authorizations: Verify that the user has the necessary authorizations to perform the operation. You can check this using transaction SU53 after the error occurs.
- Retry the Process: Sometimes, simply retrying the process after a short wait can resolve the issue, especially if it was caused by a temporary lock or concurrency issue.
- Check for System Notes: Look for any SAP Notes related to this error message in the SAP Support Portal. There may be patches or updates that address this specific issue.
