What causes this issue?

The ckmi1 record currently processed belongs to an operation that was
posted to the previous period or the previous year. ( 'Previous'
meaning previous at the time the operation was entered ).
More precisely, the ckmi1 record currently processed is the ckmi1
record that was created for the period during which the operation was
entered. ( A second ckmi1 record was created for the prior period or
thelast period of the previous year. )
The operation values in the entry period ckmi1 record and in the
corresponding material ledger document are determined differently and
cannot be compared.
The sum of the operation values of the two ckmi1 records for the entry
period and the previous period gives the value that was posted to the
material stock during the operation, i.e. the value that was posted to
the stock in the entry period of the transaction.
On the other hand, the material ledger documents of the entry period
contains itself already the value that was posted to the stock in the
current period.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
