Now you have changed the program or variant. However, the job name, once

    How to fix this error?

Consider deleting the task and creating a new job with the updated

    Cause:

    1. Program or Variant Change: The most common cause of this error is that the program or variant associated with the job has been modified or replaced after the job was scheduled. This can happen if:

    Solution:

    1. Review Job Configuration: Check the job configuration in the job scheduling transaction (e.g., SM37 for job monitoring). Verify the program and variant associated with the job.

    2. Update Job: If the program or variant has changed, you may need to:

      • Update the job to point to the correct program or variant.
      • If the variant has been deleted or modified, create a new variant or restore the original variant if possible.
    3. Recreate the Job: If the changes are significant or if you are unable to resolve the issue by updating the job, consider deleting the existing job and recreating it with the correct program and variant.

    4. Check for Dependencies: Ensure that there are no dependencies or other jobs that might be affected by the changes you make.

    5. Consult Documentation: If you are unsure about the changes made to the program or variant, consult the change logs or documentation to understand what modifications were made.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: Use transaction codes like SM37 (Job Monitoring), SM36 (Job Scheduling), and SE38 (ABAP Program Execution) to manage jobs and programs.
