Message number: 776
Message text: Client &: Number range ADRNR 01 is too small to convert KNA1
When you upgrade to Release 4.5, for all records in KNA1 (customer
master record) and LFA1 (vendor master record), the system creates an
address in the central address management.
The numbers for this are taken from the number range interval ADRNR 01.
However, this interval is too small in client &V1&. There are not
enough numbers for the conversion.
The system cannot convert the data correctly if there are not enough
numbers available.
Increase the number range interval ADRNR 01 in client &V1&. Also
consider Note 25182.
You cannot start the upgrade until you have increased number range
interval ADRNR 01 in client &V1&.

- Client &: Number range ADRNR 01 is too small to convert KNA1 ?The SAP error message F2776 indicates that there is an issue with the number range for the address number (ADRNR) when trying to convert customer master data from the KNA1 table. This typically occurs during data migration or conversion processes, such as when upgrading systems or migrating data from legacy systems.
Cause:
- Insufficient Number Range: The number range defined for the address numbers (ADRNR) is too small to accommodate the number of records being converted from the KNA1 table. This means that the system has run out of available numbers in the specified range.
- Configuration Issues: The number range settings may not have been properly configured to handle the volume of data being processed.
- Data Volume: The volume of customer records in the KNA1 table exceeds the defined number range for address numbers.
Solution:
Increase the Number Range:
- Go to the transaction code SNRO (Number Range Objects).
- Find the number range object related to address numbers (usually
ADRNR
).- Check the current number range intervals and increase them as necessary to accommodate the required number of address numbers.
- Make sure to save and activate the changes.
Check Configuration:
- Ensure that the configuration for the number range is correctly set up in the system. This includes checking the intervals and ensuring they are not overlapping or incorrectly defined.
Data Cleanup:
- If possible, review the data in the KNA1 table to see if there are any duplicates or unnecessary records that can be removed to reduce the number of records needing conversion.
Testing:
- After making changes to the number range, perform a test conversion to ensure that the issue has been resolved.
