Message type: E = Error
Message class: ESH_OM_OBJ_MODEL_RP2 - Object Model Repository (2)
Message number: 624
Message text: Category &1 already existed or exists in another system/client
A category has an internal key (which is a GUID) and an external key
(its name you can see in the Enterprise Search Modeler), When you create
a new category or rename an existing category the combination of the
internal and the external key is stored on the GTABKEY-server to assure
that a category has the same internal key in different systems.
During the creation of category &v1& it was detected that there is
already an according entry on the GTABKEY-server.
This means either that
a category with the name &v1& already exists in at least one other
system/client (e.g. in a lower release) or
that in this or in another system/client a category with the name &v1&
had and was deleted.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Please be aware that in case 1. the new category &v1& is the same as the
other categories that exist in other systems/clients.

- Client-Specific Data: The category might exist in a different client, and the system is enforcing uniqueness across clients.
Solution:
Check Existing Categories:
- Use transaction codes like
SE11
(Data Dictionary) orSE80
(Object Navigator) to check if the category already exists in the system.- You can also use the relevant transaction for the specific object model you are working with to see if the category is listed.
Modify or Delete Existing Category:
- If the category exists and is not needed, consider deleting it or modifying it to avoid the conflict.
- Ensure that you have the necessary authorizations to make changes.
Use a Different Name:
- If the category is required and cannot be deleted, consider using a different name for the new category you are trying to create.
Transport Management:
- If this issue arises during a transport, check the transport logs to see if the category was included in a previous transport.
- Ensure that the transport requests are correctly managed and that there are no conflicts.
Client-Specific Considerations:
- If you are working in a multi-client environment, ensure that you are aware of the categories that exist in other clients and avoid naming conflicts.
