  • What causes this issue?

A common attribute has an internal key (which is a GUID) and an external
key (its name you can see in the Enterprise Search Modeler), When you
create a new common attribute or rename an existing common attribute the
combination of the internal and the external key is stored on the
GTABKEY-server to assure that a common attribute has the same internal
    key in different systems.
During the creation of common attribute &v1& it was detected that there
is already an according entry on the GTABKEY-server.
    This means either that
a common attribute with the name &v1& already exists in at least one
other system/client (e.g. in a lower release) or
that in this or in another system/client a common attribute with the
name &v1& had and was deleted.

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

Please be aware that in case 1. the new common attribute &v1& is the
same as the other common attributes that exist in other systems/clients.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message ESH_OM_OBJ_MODEL_RP2622 - Common attribute &1 already existed or exists in another system/client ?

The SAP error message ESH_OM_OBJ_MODEL_RP2622 indicates that there is a conflict with a common attribute that already exists in the system or in another client. This typically occurs during the process of creating or modifying an object model in the SAP Enterprise Search (SAP ESH) framework, where the system detects that the attribute you are trying to create or modify is already defined elsewhere.

    Cause:

    1. Duplicate Attribute: The attribute you are trying to create already exists in the same system or in another client.
    2. Cross-Client Issues: If you are working in a multi-client environment, the attribute may exist in a different client.
    3. Transport Issues: If you are transporting objects between systems, the attribute may have been transported already, leading to a conflict.

    Solution:

    1. Check Existing Attributes:

      • Use transaction codes like SE11 (Data Dictionary) or SE80 (Object Navigator) to check if the attribute already exists in the system.
      • Look for the attribute in the relevant object model or data structure.
    2. Modify or Rename:

      • If the attribute already exists and you need to create a new one, consider renaming the new attribute to avoid the conflict.
      • If the existing attribute is not needed, you may consider deleting or modifying it, but ensure that this does not affect other functionalities.
    3. Cross-Client Check:

      • If you suspect the attribute exists in another client, log into that client and verify its existence.
      • If necessary, coordinate with the team managing that client to resolve the conflict.
    4. Transport Management:

      • If the issue arises from a transport request, check the transport logs to see if the attribute was included in a previous transport.
      • Ensure that the transport requests are correctly managed and that there are no conflicts.
    5. Consult Documentation:

      • Review SAP documentation or notes related to the specific error message for any additional guidance or known issues.
