Message text: Query logging only without user-ID
The query logging for users not participating in Personalized Search is
switched on, but in the anonymized mode, where the user ID gets lost in
the log.
This is not a problem, Enterprise Search works.
With this setting, the evaluation and optimization options are
drastically reduced; both for Enterprise Search internally, and for an
administrator doing search engine optimization. For instance, basic
questions cannot be answered: How many users are active in Enterprise
Search? What are trending search terms (a term could be entered by 1000
users - or by one user, but 1000 times)?
If allowed under local law and regulations, the policy should be
switched to "pseudonymized logging".
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
