demand limit. The limit is stored in an operand that is defined in
table TE409. This table contains all validation parameters allocated to
the device via the validation class (in the rate).
The operand value is entred in the rate category or the installation
facts.

EL155
- Device &1 MR date &2: Maximum demand limit exceeded by &3 &4 ?The SAP error message EL155 indicates that the maximum demand limit for a specific device has been exceeded. This message is typically related to energy management and monitoring in SAP, particularly in the context of utilities and energy consumption.
Cause:
The error message EL155 is triggered when the actual demand (measured in kilowatts or another unit) for a device exceeds the predefined maximum demand limit set for that device. This can occur due to various reasons, such as:
- Increased Load: A sudden increase in the load on the device, possibly due to operational changes or equipment malfunction.
- Incorrect Configuration: The maximum demand limit may be set too low for the actual operational requirements of the device.
- Data Entry Errors: Incorrect data entry in the system regarding the device's specifications or limits.
- Seasonal Variations: Changes in demand due to seasonal factors or operational cycles.
Solution:
To resolve the EL155 error, you can take the following steps:
Review Device Configuration: Check the configuration settings for the device in question. Ensure that the maximum demand limit is set appropriately based on the expected operational load.
Analyze Demand Patterns: Look at the historical demand data for the device to understand if the current demand is an anomaly or a new normal. This can help in deciding whether to adjust the maximum limit.
Adjust Maximum Demand Limit: If the current maximum demand limit is too low, consider increasing it to accommodate the actual demand levels. This can be done through the relevant configuration settings in SAP.
Investigate Load Changes: If there has been a recent change in operations or equipment that could have caused the increased load, investigate and address those changes.
Monitor for Recurrences: After making adjustments, continue to monitor the device to ensure that the demand does not exceed the new limits and that the changes have resolved the issue.
Related Information:
By following these steps, you should be able to address the EL155 error and ensure that your device operates within the defined limits.
