  • Message class: EI - Foreign Trade: Gen. Output

  • Message text: Different numbers in the number range were allocated to output &1

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

Plant-dependent entries with different numbers in the number range
exist for output type <ZH>&V1&</>. For example, a deviating number in
the number range was found for output &V1& with plant <ZH>&V2&</>.
Differing plant-dependent settings in print control for foreign trade
output could cause problems when you try to output message &V1&. This
is especially true for business documents (SD billing documents) whose
document items are supplied by different plants (multiple-plant
business documents). If deviating plant-dependent entries exist in the
foreign trade print contol for this plant, the system terminates output
    of message &V1&.
The output of message &V1& in a single-plant business document is not
    affected, however.

    System Response

The system informs you of this fact.

    How to fix this error?

Check your settings. If possible, maintain the plant-dependent entries
for output &V1& using identical numbers in the number range.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message EI335 - Different numbers in the number range were allocated to output &1 ?

The SAP error message EI335 indicates that there is a discrepancy in the number ranges allocated for output documents. This typically occurs when the system is trying to generate an output document (like an invoice, delivery note, etc.) and finds that the number range assigned to the output type does not match the expected number range.

    Cause:

    1. Configuration Issues: The output type may be configured with a different number range than what is expected for the document type.
    2. Custom Development: If there are custom developments or modifications in the output processing, they might not align with the standard number range settings.
    3. Multiple Number Ranges: If multiple number ranges are defined for the same output type, the system may be trying to use a number range that is not valid for the current document.
    4. Transport Issues: If the configuration was transported from one system to another (e.g., from development to production), there might be inconsistencies in the number range settings.

    Solution:

    1. Check Output Type Configuration:

      • Go to the transaction code NACE (for output types) and check the configuration for the specific output type that is causing the error.
      • Ensure that the number range assigned to the output type is correct and matches the expected number range for the document type.
    2. Review Number Range Settings:

      • Use transaction code SNRO to check the number range objects related to the output type.
      • Verify that the number ranges are correctly defined and that there are no overlaps or gaps.
    3. Adjust Custom Code:

      • If there are custom developments, review the code to ensure that it is correctly handling the number ranges and not causing conflicts.
    4. Transport Consistency:

      • If the issue arose after a transport, check the transport logs and ensure that all necessary configurations were transported correctly.
      • If needed, re-transport the configuration or manually adjust the settings in the target system.
    5. Testing:

      • After making changes, perform tests to ensure that the output documents are generated correctly without errors.
