Message type: E = Error
Message class: EHSB_RC - Compliance Check
Message number: 059
Message text: Division by zero: Conversion factor for unit &1 in table T006
The table T006 defines all units of measurement that are available in
the system. The conversion factors between the units are defined as
follows: (numerator/denominator) * exponent.
The value in the <ls>Denominator</> column for the unit ' &v1&' equals
zero and this leads to a division by zero.
The system terminates the compliance check because the units used in the
composition cannot be converted.
Correct the appropriate entry in the table T006 (column MSEHI = ' &v1&
'). The value in the <ls>Denominator</> column cannot equal zero.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

EHSB_RC059
- Division by zero: Conversion factor for unit &1 in table T006 ?The SAP error message EHSB_RC059, which indicates "Division by zero: Conversion factor for unit &1 in table T006," typically occurs when there is an attempt to perform a calculation involving a unit of measure that does not have a valid conversion factor defined in the T006 table. This can happen in various scenarios, such as when processing materials, handling inventory, or performing calculations in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) modules.
Cause:
- Missing Conversion Factor: The unit of measure (UoM) specified in the operation does not have a corresponding conversion factor in the T006 table.
- Incorrect Unit of Measure: The unit of measure being used may not be defined correctly or may not exist in the system.
- Data Inconsistency: There may be inconsistencies in the data, such as missing entries or incorrect configurations in the unit of measure settings.
Solution:
Check T006 Table:
- Go to transaction code SE16 or SE16N and enter the table name T006.
- Search for the unit of measure that is causing the error (indicated by &1 in the error message).
- Verify if there is a valid conversion factor defined for that unit. If not, you may need to add or correct the entry.
Define Conversion Factors:
- If the conversion factor is missing, you can define it by using transaction code CUNI (Unit of Measure Conversion).
- Ensure that the conversion factors for the relevant units of measure are correctly set up.
Check Unit of Measure Configuration:
- Review the configuration of units of measure in the system to ensure that they are correctly defined and linked to the appropriate material or process.
Review Custom Code:
- If there is any custom code or enhancements that manipulate units of measure, review that code to ensure it handles units correctly and does not lead to division by zero errors.
Consult Documentation:
- Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for additional guidance on unit of measure configuration and handling.
