Message type: E = Error
Message class: EEDM_RTP - Messages for EDM RTP Project
Message number: 059
Message text: Number of influencing intervals must be 1
The input parameter is defined as a profile with a meter reading profile
(for consumption determination). The number of influencing intervals
must be 1 here, however the value entered is &V1&.
Correct processing (for example consumption determination) is only
possible if the number of influencing intervals is 1.
This is required to ensure that the formula is available to the meter
reading for both point in time t and t +1 when point in time t is
calculated, for example to determine a consumption as the difference
between these values for the point in time.
Correct your entry by deleting the "Meter Reading Profile" indicator or
setting the number of intervals to 1.

EEDM_RTP059
- Number of influencing intervals must be 1 ?The SAP error message EEDM_RTP059, which states "Number of influencing intervals must be 1," typically occurs in the context of SAP's Demand Planning or similar modules where time series data is analyzed. This error indicates that the system expects only one influencing interval for a particular calculation or operation, but it has detected more than one.
Cause:
- Multiple Influencing Intervals: The primary cause of this error is that the configuration or data setup has multiple influencing intervals defined for a key figure or planning object where only one is expected.
- Incorrect Configuration: The planning book or data view may be incorrectly configured, leading to the system interpreting multiple intervals as influencing factors.
- Data Issues: There may be issues with the data itself, such as overlapping time periods or incorrect time series definitions.
Solution:
- Check Configuration: Review the configuration of the planning book or data view to ensure that only one influencing interval is defined. This can typically be done in the SAP APO (Advanced Planning and Optimization) or SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) settings.
- Adjust Data: If the data itself is causing the issue, ensure that the time series data is correctly defined and that there are no overlapping intervals.
- Review Key Figures: Check the key figures involved in the planning process to ensure they are set up correctly and that their influencing intervals are properly defined.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidelines on configuring influencing intervals for the relevant planning scenarios.
- Testing: After making adjustments, test the configuration with a small dataset to ensure that the error does not recur.
