As part of the integration in SAP document management (DMS), the system
performs the following checks when you create a link to a document info
record:
Existence check
Standard consistency checks that are defined in the Project Management
system (see Customizing for <LS>Project Management</>, Customizing
activity <LS>Make Settings for the Linked SAP Objects</>).
In addition, the following requirements are checked. You have to meet
these requirements if you want to create a link:
No object link exists for the project element.
There are no originals.
The document info record has a document structure.
Object links with project elements (DPR_OBJLNK) are permitted for the
document type in Customizing for <LS>Document Management</> and an
external number assignment has been defined.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Choose a document info record that meets the criteria named above.
You can change the additional standard consistency checks in SAP
document management by implementing the DMS_CONSISTENCY_CHECK method (
<LS>Special Consistency Check for SAP DMS Document Links</>) of the
Business Add-In (BAdI) OLR3_DMS.
