Message text: Compare the number range group of the target and source system
The transport of order types causes number range groups in the target
system to be overwritten. This can cause incorrect number range
intervals to be assigned to production orders.
Check the assignment to the number range group before every transport
of a changed order type. The assignment in the source system has to
correspond to the assignment in the target system. If this is not the
case you need to change the number range group in the source system.

CS067
- Compare the number range group of the target and source system ?The SAP error message CS067 indicates a mismatch between the number range groups of the target and source systems during a data transfer or migration process. This error typically occurs when you are trying to transfer or replicate data (like material master data) from one SAP system to another, and the number range settings for the relevant objects do not match.
Cause:
- Mismatched Number Range Groups: The number range group defined in the source system for a particular object (e.g., material, BOM, etc.) does not exist or is not configured the same way in the target system.
- Configuration Differences: The target system may not have the same number range configuration as the source system, leading to discrepancies.
- Missing Number Ranges: The number range group in the target system may not have been created or activated.
Solution:
Check Number Range Configuration:
- Go to transaction code SNRO (Number Range Objects) in both the source and target systems.
- Verify that the number range group used in the source system exists in the target system.
- Ensure that the number ranges are correctly defined and activated in the target system.
Create or Adjust Number Range Groups:
- If the number range group does not exist in the target system, you may need to create it using transaction code SNRO.
- If it exists but is not configured correctly, adjust the number ranges to match those in the source system.
Transport Configuration:
- If the number range group configuration is part of a transport request, ensure that the transport has been successfully imported into the target system.
Testing:
- After making the necessary adjustments, perform a test to ensure that the data transfer or replication can proceed without errors.
Related Information:
By ensuring that the number range groups are consistent between the source and target systems, you can resolve the CS067 error and proceed with your data transfer or migration tasks.
