  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message CRM_ORDER_MISC011 - The logical system of the document is not the current logical system ?

The SAP error message CRM_ORDER_MISC011 indicates that there is a mismatch between the logical system of the document being processed and the current logical system of the SAP system you are working in. This typically occurs in scenarios where data is being transferred between different systems or when documents are being processed that were created in a different logical system.

    Cause:

    1. Logical System Mismatch: The document you are trying to process was created in a different logical system than the one you are currently using. Each SAP system is assigned a unique logical system identifier, and if the document's logical system does not match the current system, this error will occur.
    2. Data Transfer Issues: If data was transferred from one system to another (e.g., through ALE/IDoc), and the logical system was not correctly set up or mapped, this error can arise.
    3. Configuration Issues: Incorrect configuration in the system settings related to logical systems, such as RFC destinations or ALE settings, can lead to this error.

    Solution:

    1. Check Logical System Configuration:

      • Go to transaction SCC4 to check the logical system configuration. Ensure that the logical system of the document matches the logical system of the current SAP system.
      • If you are working in a development or testing environment, ensure that the logical system is correctly set up.
    2. Review Document Source:

      • Identify where the document originated. If it was created in another system, you may need to process it in that system or replicate it in the current system.
    3. Adjust ALE/IDoc Settings:

      • If you are using ALE or IDocs for data transfer, check the configuration in transaction WE20 (Partner Profiles) and WE21 (Port Definition) to ensure that the logical systems are correctly defined and mapped.
    4. Use Transaction Code CRM_ORDER:

      • If you are trying to create or modify an order, ensure that you are using the correct transaction code and that the order is intended for the current logical system.
    5. Consult with Basis Team:

      • If you are unsure about the logical system settings or if the issue persists, consult with your SAP Basis team. They can help verify the system configuration and assist in troubleshooting.

    Related Information:

    • Logical Systems: Logical systems are used in SAP to identify different systems in a landscape (e.g., Development, Quality, Production). Each system should have a unique identifier.
    • ALE (Application Link Enabling): ALE is a technology that allows the integration of different SAP systems and non-SAP systems. Proper configuration is essential for successful data transfer.
    • IDocs (Intermediate Documents): IDocs are used for data exchange between SAP systems. Ensure that the IDoc type and message type are correctly configured for the logical systems involved.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the CRM_ORDER_MISC011 error and ensure that your documents are processed correctly within the appropriate logical system.
