  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message CRM_MKT_EXTERNAL006 - Server GUID &1 transferred not defined in the Customizing table ?

The SAP error message CRM_MKT_EXTERNAL006 indicates that a server GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) that has been transferred is not defined in the Customizing table. This typically occurs in the context of SAP CRM (Customer Relationship Management) when there is an issue with the integration between different systems or components, such as when data is being transferred from an external system to SAP CRM.

    Cause:

    1. Missing Configuration: The GUID being referenced is not defined in the relevant Customizing tables. This could happen if the system was not properly configured to recognize the external system or if the GUID was not registered.
    2. Data Transfer Issues: There may be issues with the data being sent from the external system, such as incorrect or outdated GUIDs.
    3. System Integration Problems: If there are changes in the external system or if the integration settings have been modified, it may lead to discrepancies in the GUIDs being used.

    Solution:

    1. Check Customizing Settings:

      • Go to the Customizing settings in SAP (transaction code SPRO).
      • Navigate to the relevant section for CRM and check the configuration for external systems or GUIDs.
      • Ensure that the GUID in question is defined in the appropriate Customizing table (e.g., CRMD_ORDER or similar tables related to marketing).
    2. Register the GUID:

      • If the GUID is missing, you may need to add it manually to the Customizing table. This typically involves creating a new entry that corresponds to the external system.
    3. Verify Data Transfer:

      • Check the data being sent from the external system to ensure that it is correct and that the GUIDs are valid.
      • If necessary, coordinate with the team responsible for the external system to ensure that the data being sent is accurate.
    4. Review Integration Settings:

      • If there have been recent changes to the integration settings, review those changes to ensure that they have not affected the mapping of GUIDs.
      • Ensure that the connection between the systems is properly established and that all necessary configurations are in place.
    5. Consult Documentation:

      • Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to the specific error message for additional troubleshooting steps or updates that may be relevant.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: You may need to use transaction codes like SPRO, SE11 (Data Dictionary), or SE16 (Data Browser) to check the relevant tables and configurations.
    • SAP Notes: Check for any SAP Notes that may address this specific error or provide additional guidance on troubleshooting.
    • Support: If the issue persists after checking the above points, consider reaching out to SAP support or your internal SAP support team for further assistance.
